Planning to do COVERS?

Well, Hi!

If you are ever wondering how people sing covers of songs and upload it to Youtube, you need to read this.

^__^ I'm no certified Youtube Sensation, but I guess I have experienced how to make everything and doing them with quality.

FIRST. Check If you have the proper equipment.

• Microphone (preferably condenser microphone) - There are many types of microphones. Some of them are used for live singing and some for RECORDING. So, you've guess it right. YOU will need a MICROPHONE intended for recording.   --------------- If you are at home using your laptop or pc. for a better quality you'll need a USB CONDENSER MICROPHONE.  A good example is this --- "SAMSON METEOR MIC"

• SOFTWARES!! I need to stress this out. You must not use any other softwares not intended for vocal recording. .. (***THAT MEANS NO VIDEO EDITING SOFTWARE) . Good examples of SOFTWARE that I use is AUDACITY, and ADOBE AUDITION. ^_^ ***** ask me anything if you need help on these.
• INSTRUMENTALS - QUALITY instrumentals. ^_^ Go search it in youtube then DOWNLOAD IT. If the user doesn't have a DL link then copy its URL and DL it here.
• LYRICS - Well, this depends if you don't know the lyrics of your song choice.

AND THAT's ALL THE PREREQUISITE.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR COVER INTERESTING?

There are many covers out there so imagine yourself being in a jungle full of predators who'll eat you alive..

• What you need to do is have COMMITMENT.
• Be adventurous. Make the song yours by adding some adlibs and changing harmonies and keys. ^_^
• Be FRIENDLY. ------ have Youtube friends and have collaborations with them.
• Be HAPPY in what you do... It'll come naturally. ^_^
• Add a little flavor by showing your face in the video. ----- make a video recording of yourself singing.. this doesn't mean you need to sing live. .. Just edit it and do magic. ^_^
• and last..... RESEARCH! need a vocal effect.. research it. need a video editing tutorial.. research it.
